WAR ZONES written and directed by Laura Brienza (COL '09) makes its NYC debut!

Catch WAR ZONES in the New York International Fringe Festival this August...

WAR ZONES was written and directed by GU alum Laura Brienza (COL '09), and also stars GU alums Marjory Collado (COL '09) and Robert Klein (MSB '09).

WAR ZONES will make its New York City debut this August in the New York International Fringe Festival following a successful run at the Capital Fringe Festival in July.
WAR ZONES is a play about one woman's whose life is sculpted by the bodies she loves along the way: a proud father with Alzheimer's, an abusive bulimic teen, her unwavering husband, and her anorexic son. This journey along the spectrum of masculinity brings science to life onstage and the male body into the spotlight like never before. Sometimes the body is a war zone.
Hailed by DC Theatre Scene as “insightful” and “fascinating,”  Allartsreview4u raved “the script is superb,” and says WAR ZONES “is recommended highly for its acting as well as the didactics.”  Culture Mob instructs you to, "Let yourself laugh during the endearing, playful courtship so well rendered by Marjory Collado and Robert Klein. (Their romance is a welcome diversion from the play’s heavier subjects of Alzheimer’s and eating disorders.)"  Culture Mob goes on to encourage audiences to “go expecting no traditional play…Go expecting a piece eclectic and quirky…Go with no presuppositions and you could find yourself in awe of a writer and cast…But Go.”
